What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a technique devised in 1950's by a Frenchman called Michel Pastor. It was 1st used to improve circulation and treat conditions such as sport’s injury, infections and vascular disease. It is subsequently proved to be an effective cellulite treatment and also is good for fluid retention, lymphatic drainage, localised fat reduction and skin rejuvenation.

How is it administered?

Mesotherapy involves the injection of specially prepared mixture of vitamins, homeopathic ingredients, amino acids, and medication which are injected superficially into the problem area. This stimulates the fat cells and cause them to break away from connective tissues. The excess fat deposits are then dissolved and excreted through the blood stream by the kidneys and bowls.

Mesotherapy is also given for skin rejuvenation for ageing skin to replace minerals , vitamins and amino acids that are found in lower levels as we age. The injections are placed just millimetre under the skin.

Does having this treatment hurt?

Patients may feel slight discomfort from the injections, but this is minimal.

How soon will I see results?

Your skin stars to feel smoother, tighter and firmer after the third session. Between 8 to 12 sessions are require for acquired results.

How long the results will last?

It is recommended to have a top up after every six months.

Are there any side effects?

Mesotherapy may cause minimal swelling, redness ( marks from injections are short lived). Infection, allergies and pigmentations are extremely rare.

Can mesotherapy be combined with other cosmetic treatments?

Yes. It is often used to enhance effects of other cosmetic procedures. Such as Botulinum toxin A, is often added to mesotherapy cocktail and the mixture is then known as mesobotox. It also can be combined with laser lipo for better and quicker results.
